Guwahati: In Manipur's Tengnoupal district, multiple civil society organisations have announced an indefinite economic blockade beginning Thursday, May 28.
The decision is aimed at pressing for accountability in the killing of three Kuki-Zo religious leaders and ensuring the safe release of individuals reportedly held hostage amid ongoing unrest.
A press release issued on Wednesday, May 27 by the groups expressed support for Kuki Inpi Manipur's demand for a judicial-level investigation into the incident in which three religious leaders were killed.
According to the groups, the blockade will not be withdrawn until all abducted individuals are safely released and the killings are properly investigated ...
