Imphal, Aug. 24 -- Public transport along Manipur's National Highway-2 entered its third consecutive day of operations on August 24, with around 100 passengers arriving safely at the ISBT Bus Terminus in Imphal from Guwahati.

Another batch of more than 250 passengers departed Imphal for Assam under tight security. The passengers expressed their gratitude to the Naga and Kuki communities for ensuring safe passage.

Five buses and seven Winger vehicles departed from Imphal at around 1 pm on August 24. A brief delay occurred following an incident at Taphou village in Senapati district.

Swift government action and public cooperation helped resolve the local dispute, after which both communities agreed to maintain peace.
