Imphal: Fresh ethnic violence was reported along the Manipur-Myanmar border after suspected Kuki National Army-Burma (KNA-B) militants torched houses in Kamjong district following the arrest of a cadre of the proscribed United Kuki National Army (UKNA).
Security forces had arrested a self-styled Lieutenant of the banned UKNA, Seimenlal Haokip (22) of Ainujang Village in Churachandpur district, from M Songgel Village on May 6, 2026.
