Manipur: Heroin worth Rs 1.1 crore seized in Senapati; Assam man held
Imphal, July 31 -- An Assam man was arrested with 1.12 kg of suspected heroin, estimated to be worth around Rs 1.1 crore in the international market, during a vehicle check in Manipur's Senapati district on Thursday.
The arrest was made by a joint team of the Special Operation Team (SOT) of Senapati Police, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Assam Rifles at the T-Khullen checkpoint on National Highway-2 near the Nagaland border.
The team intercepted a white Mahindra Bolero bearing registration number NL07CC-2510, fitted with a VIP flagpost, while it was travelling from Kangpokpi towards Senapati.
