Imphal, Aug. 3 -- A tense security situation unfolded at Gaidimjang Part 2 (Samlengtiang) under Khoupum police station in Manipur after suspected cadres of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) and the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) exchanged gunfire on Sunday evening.

According to reports, the exchange of fire began around 6:10 pm and continued for nearly 30 minutes before ending at approximately 6:40 pm. Authorities said no casualties or injuries were reported from either side.
