Dimapur, Oct. 9 -- A head constable of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) sustained minor injuries after unidentified miscreants hurled a grenade at the gate of a RAF camp in Manipur's Imphal East district on Thursday night.

The attack took place at around 10 pm on October 8 at the B/107 RAF camp in New Lambulane, under the jurisdiction of Porompat police station, according to sources.

The injured personnel was identified as Dhananjay Rai, a head constable from Uttar Pradesh. He sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The motive behind the attack and the identity of those responsible remain unknown. Further details are awaited.
