Manipur: Government urges JFD to put NRC deadline on hold
Imphal, Oct. 3 -- The Manipur government has appealed to the Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD) to put its September 30 deadline on hold, saying the demands raised by the organisation over the National Register of Citizens (NRC) are being pursued by the state.
Government spokesperson and MLA Sapam Ranjan made the appeal on Saturday, saying the administration was taking the issues raised by the JFD seriously and was working towards addressing them.
