Imphal: The Manipur government on June 24 organised a one-day workshop on the "Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Journalism and Media Fact-Checking" in Imphal, highlighting the growing role of AI in the media sector while underscoring the continued importance of human editorial oversight.

The workshop was organised by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) and brought together journalists, media professionals and government officials to discuss the opportunities and challenges presented by artificial intelligence in modern journalism.
