Imphal, April 23 -- The Foothills Naga Coordination Committee (FNCC) has resumed its indefinite bandh across foothill Naga areas in Manipur from midnight of April 23, citing delays in the implementation of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed with the state government last year.

The renewed blockade comes amid rising tensions and ongoing protests by various ethnic groups over security concerns and safety issues in different parts of the state.

Announcing the decision, the FNCC said the bandh would restrict movement and economic activities in the affected areas until further notice. It urged the government to take immediate steps to fulfil its commitments, warning that continued delays would inconvenience the public.
