Imphal: A 32-year-old Manipur Police constable was found dead in his official quarters at the Langol Housing Complex in Imphal West district on Saturday.

The deceased, identified as S Ramreishang, was posted as escort personnel to the Director General of Manipur Police (Law and Order). He was found hanging from a ceiling fan inside the quarter allotted by the Home Department under the jurisdiction of Lamphel police station.

According to police, the incident came to light around 7:30 am after Ramreishang's wife informed the concerned police station. A police team subsequently reached the spot and shifted the body to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, for post-mortem exami...
