Guwahati, Nov. 3 -- A Delhi court on Tuesday issued notice to the city police on an anticipatory bail application filed by Congress MP and former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) professor Angomcha Bimol Akoijam in a sexual harassment case.

Special Judge Dig Vinay Singh sought a response from the Delhi Police and directed that no coercive action be taken against Akoijam until the next hearing, scheduled for November 5. The court also asked the investigating officer (IO) to appear with the case records on that date.

The judge said the anticipatory bail application filed by the Inner Manipur MP would be considered during the next hearing.
