Imphal, Sept. 9 -- The Committee on Tribal Unity (Sadar Hills) issued a final warning to the Manipur government on Tuesday, demanding immediate intervention against an alleged "inhumane and selective" economic blockade targeting the Kuki-Zo community.

In its statement, CoTU cited a state government directive issued on August 28, 2026, which explicitly prohibits road blockades and warns violators of criminal prosecution. The organization urged the administration to enforce this mandate immediately and impartially.

According to CoTU, factions from the Liangmai and Tangkhul Naga communities are actively enforcing targeted disruptions against Kuki-Zo residents.
