Manipur: CM Khemchand reviews security situation with senior Assam Rifles officials following major PLA arrest
Imphal, Aug. 24 -- High-level security talks were held at the Chief Minister's Secretariat in Babupara, Imphal, on Sunday, with the Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand meeting senior Assam Rifles officials to review the prevailing security situation in the state.
The meeting came a day after a joint operation by the Assam Rifles and Manipur Police led to the arrest of a high-ranking, wanted cadre of the proscribed People's Liberation Army (PLA), who is accused in the deadly 2021 ambush on an Assam Rifles convoy in Churachandpur.
