Imphal, July 31 -- Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, on July 31 visited flood-affected areas of Manipur's Churachandpur district to assess damage caused by flash floods in several parts of the town and its adjoining areas.

The flood-affected areas visited by the Deputy Commissioner included Sielmat, Lower Chapel Lane, Hiangtam Lamka, Chiengkonpang and Beulalane within Churachandpur town. During the visit, the DC interacted with affected families and distributed relief materials.

He assured residents of all possible support from the District Administration and informed them that damage assessment was underway for providing further assistance.
