Imphal: Fresh exchanges of gunfire between rival groups from the Kuki and Naga communities were reported in Manipur's Kangpokpi district on Saturday morning, resulting in casualties, according to local reports.

The incident reportedly began around 8:40 AM when armed militants launched an attack on Langka (Taniuluang) village. The ensuing exchange of fire lasted for nearly 30 minutes before security forces moved into the area. State and central security personnel were subsequently deployed to contain the situation and prevent further escalation.
