Dibrugarh: Landslides and a strong windstorm triggered widespread damage to power infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh's Tirap district, disrupting electricity supply in several areas under the Khonsa division.
According to officials, multiple 33 kV and 11 kV power lines were severely damaged following the overnight weather disturbances, with restoration work currently underway.
"The affected areas include 33 kV and 11 kV lines in Khonsa town, the 33 kV line at Pansumthong, and the 11 kV line at Hollam. Landslides have washed away electric poles and disrupted power supply across multiple locations," an official said.
