Imphal: Kuki Inpi Manipur (KIM) on Wednesday expressed grief over the recovery of bodies of six Naga individuals who were taken hostage by alleged militants on May 13 and called for a thorough investigation into the killings.

In a statement, the apex Kuki body condemned the deaths and extended condolences to the bereaved families.

"The loss of any human life is a tragedy," KIM said, urging all communities and stakeholders to exercise restraint and maintain peace in the wake of the incident.
