KBC condemns killing of two civilians, burning of houses in Manipur's Chassad village
Imphal, Oct. 10 -- The Kuki Baptist Convention (KBC) has strongly condemned the killing of two civilians and the burning of several houses at Chassad village in Manipur's Kamjong district, describing the incident as a brutal and inhumane act.
In a press release issued on Saturday, the KBC stated that Mrs. Domkhonei Touthang, wife of Lallenmang Touthang, was allegedly killed by armed personnel on the evening of October 9. She was a mother of five children. The following morning, October 10, Michael Ngamminlen Haokip, son of Paothang Haokip, was also killed in the same village. The convention further reported that several houses belonging to villagers were indiscriminately set on fire during the attack.
