Guwahati, Oct. 12 -- Delhi Police has de-notified Jantar Mantar as a designated venue for protests and demonstrations, naming three alternative locations across the national capital for organising such events.

According to Standing Order No. L&O/48/2026, issued by the Delhi Police Commissioner, Ramlila Ground, Burari Ground and CBD Ground in East Delhi have been designated as new venues for holding protests and demonstrations.

The order states that the decision follows recommendations made by a committee constituted by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs to examine alternative venues for organising protests and demonstrations in place of the existing designated site.
