Guwahati, Sept. 30 -- Leaders of several INDIA bloc parties are scheduled to meet in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss a joint action plan over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demands for the removal of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

The meeting is also expected to consider a draft notice for a motion in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha seeking Kumar's removal, besides deliberating on a possible nationwide agitation over the issue.

The proposed meeting comes a day after the Congress Working Committee (CWC) adopted a resolution seeking Kumar's removal and calling for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's resignation.
