Imphal, Aug. 8 -- Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh announced on Saturday in Kangpokpi that the Imphal-Guwahati bus service will resume shortly and national highways will reopen to all communities.

The decision followed talks with Kuki civil society organisations and Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen, alongside developmental initiatives including the foundation of an observation home.

The Imphal-Guwahati bus service, suspended since May 23, 2023, due to ethnic unrest, will resume shortly, while major national highways will be opened for unrestricted travel across all communities.
