Dibrugarh, July 9 -- An eight-member high-level delegation from the Centre, led by Nishtha Tiwari, Joint Secretary (Home), Government of India, visited flood-affected areas of Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday and assured all possible assistance from the Centre in the wake of the devastating floods that left several parts of the state severely affected.

While interacting with the media in Lower Siang district, Tiwari said the extent of the damage was significant and that detailed reports and data were being collected from the flood-affected districts.

The team was accompanied by Nari-Koyu MLA Tojir Kadu, Pasighat West MLA Ninong Ering, and senior officials from East Siang and Lower Siang districts.
