Agartala, Aug. 31 -- The Tripura Assembly session on Monday witnessed repeated protests by Opposition legislators, prompting Speaker Ram Pada Jamatia to order the suspension of Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman.

The remaining Congress MLAs and CPI(M) legislators later staged a walkout to register their protest against the Speaker's decision.

The pandemonium hit the Assembly after Roy Barman attempted to draw the attention of the House to the 'existence of a suicide note' allegedly left by DGP Anurag, who, as far as the investigation suggests, died by suicide in the washroom attached to his office chamber.
