Dimapur, April 7 -- Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, called on Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in Kohima on Tuesday.
The visit aimed to strengthen civil-military engagement and foster closer coordination between the Assam Rifles and the state administration, a defence release said.
During the meeting, Lakhera discussed operational preparedness, ongoing development initiatives in border areas, and measures to enhance community outreach programmes undertaken by the Assam Rifles.
The governor and the CM emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts for sustainable development, disaster management, and youth empowerment in the region.
