Agartala: Delhi-based content creator Amir Shokeen has been arrested over his objectionable remarks against a youth from Tripura's indigenous community and is in Delhi Police custody, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said.

The Chief Minister said a team of Tripura Police had left for Delhi to bring the accused back to the state after completion of the necessary legal formalities.

Saha said he had directed the Director General of Police (DGP) to take prompt action after the matter came to his notice. The state police also contacted Delhi Police to trace the accused, he said.
