Guwahati, July 20 -- Delhi Police fired tear gas shells and used batons to disperse protesters during the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) 'Sansad Chalo' march towards Parliament on Monday, as demonstrators sought the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in competitive examinations, including the NEET paper leak.

The protest coincided with the opening day of Parliament's Monsoon Session. Police erected multiple layers of barricades in central Delhi to prevent protesters from reaching Parliament. As demonstrators attempted to breach the barricades, security personnel used tear gas and batons to disperse the crowd.
