Guwahati, July 24 -- The youth-led Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Friday opened discussions with the Centre over the examination paper leak controversy but made it clear that its nationwide protests would continue.

Hours after activist Sonam Wangchuk ended his 26-day hunger strike, two senior Union ministers met two CJP representatives in New Delhi to discuss the group's demands.

With thousands of students continuing their agitation over the alleged examination paper leak scandal, the dialogue has fuelled hopes that the prolonged standoff could move towards a resolution.
