Guwahati, April 29 -- Multiple exit polls released after voting for the Assam Assembly elections have predicted a comfortable victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), indicating that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma may be set to return to power for another term.

Most projections place the ruling alliance well above the majority mark in the 126-member Assembly, while the Congress is expected to remain a distant challenger.
