Guwahati, Aug. 11 -- Women in Assam can now file complaints with the Assam State Commission for Women (ASCW) through a mobile app launched by the commission on Tuesday.

Women and Child Development Minister Ajanta Neog inaugurated the application at the ASCW office. The platform is intended to make it easier for women, especially those dealing with emergencies or other difficulties, to seek help from the commission.

At the launch, Neog asked officials to keep the application updated and undertake wider awareness campaigns so that women across the state know about the service. She said greater awareness would help women use the platform when they need assistance.
