Guwahati, Sept. 9 -- Assam has extended the academic session for Class 10 and Class 12 students to compensate for disruptions caused by recent floods and the deployment of government personnel for Census-related duties, Education Minister Ranoj Pegu announced on social media following a special notification issued by the state's school education authorities.

Under the new timetable, regular classes for Class 10 students will continue until February 22, 2027, while Class 12 students will attend classes until March 8, 2027.
