India, March 17 -- The United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) has announced its first list of candidates for seven constituencies for the upcoming Assembly elections in Assam, scheduled to be held on April 9.

According to an official notification issued by the party, UPPL president Pramod Boro will contest the election from the 43 No. Tamulpur (ST) constituency. The nominations were approved by Boro following recommendations from the party's Central Working Committee and Core Committee.The party has nominated Aninda Basumatary from 1 No. Gossaigaon, Raju Kumar Narzary from 2 No. Dotma (ST), and Lawrence Islary from 3 No. Kokrajhar (ST).
