India, March 24 -- The Congress is set to roll out its Assembly election campaign in Assam after March 26, with party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, and MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra scheduled to address a series of public meetings across the state, party sources said.
The campaign will gather momentum after the last date for withdrawal of nominations, with the party's central leadership expected to spearhead outreach efforts in key constituencies.
According to sources, the three leaders will highlight the Congress's agenda on social welfare and development, while also outlining the party's broader vision for Assam and the Northeast in the upcoming election manifesto.
