India, March 24 -- One set of nomination papers filed by Congress candidate Bidisha Neog from the key Jalukbari Assembly constituency, where Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is contesting, was rejected during scrutiny on Tuesday, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
Official data indicated that Neog's nomination was among three Congress entries that faced rejection during the scrutiny process. The other two candidates were Ananda Narah from Dhakuakhana and Nirmal Langthasa from Haflong.
