India, March 23 -- Four candidates have filed their nominations for the 113 Haflong (ST) Legislative Assembly constituency ahead of the April 9 polls, setting the stage for a multi-cornered contest in Dima Hasao district.
Among the key contenders is former BJP minister Nandita Gorlosa, who has entered the fray as a Congress candidate following denial of ticket by the BJP.
The BJP has fielded Rupali Langthasa, a sitting member of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC), while the National People's Party (NPP), marking its electoral debut in Assam, has nominated former NCHAC member Daniel Langthasa.
The regional Autonomous State Demand Committee (ASDC) has also joined the contest, fielding Anjosh Terang as its candidate.
