India, March 17 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is scheduled to hold a key meeting of its Parliamentary Board in New Delhi on March 17 to finalise candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections.

Party sources said the high-level meeting will focus on approving the list of nominees for all 126 Assembly constituencies in the state. Senior leaders are expected to participate in the meeting, including Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, and Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia.

According to reports, the party is likely to release the final list of candidates on Wednesday, March 18, covering all Assembly seats across Assam.
