Guwahati, Nov. 5 -- Assam Police constable Anil Tai has been booked for allegedly entering a rented house in Gandhi Nagar, Mariani, and assaulting a woman and her family members, including children, following a dispute.

Tai, who is posted in the traffic branch of Mariani police station, allegedly went to Husnara Khatun's rented accommodation on Monday and attacked the family.

Husnara alleged that Tai shouted at them before slapping and beating family members with a stick. Women in the household were also among those assaulted, she said.
