Assam government plans hanging gardens on Guwahati flyovers
Guwahati, July 17 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said the state government plans to develop hanging gardens on flyovers in Guwahati as part of efforts to enhance the city's urban landscape and create greener public spaces.
Speaking during a Facebook Live session, Sarma said the proposed hanging gardens are intended to beautify flyovers while integrating greenery into the city's expanding infrastructure.
The Chief Minister said the initiative forms part of the government's broader urban development plans aimed at improving Guwahati's aesthetic appeal and promoting a cleaner environment.
