Dibrugarh, April 8 -- The distribution of election materials for the six assembly constituencies in Dibrugarh district began today from Dibrugarh Polytechnic at Lahowal, ahead of the Assam Assembly elections scheduled for April 9.

Polling officials, along with presiding officers, have started departing for their respective polling stations with necessary election materials under tight security arrangements to ensure smooth and peaceful voting.

A total of 10,46,031 electors will exercise their franchise across six constituencies-Dibrugarh, Chabua-Lahowal, Khowang, Duliajan, Tingkhong, and Naharkatia.
