Doomdooma: Following the declaration of the Assam Assembly Election 2026 results, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President Gaurav Gogoi on Monday evening formally conceded defeat, acknowledging the mandate delivered by the people.

The BJP-led alliance secured 102 seats, while the Congress won 21 seats, and others won 3 seats.

In his statement, Gogoi expressed humility in accepting the verdict and said the party would function as a responsible and constructive opposition.
