India, March 30 -- The Kamrup district administration has announced that for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, voters who cannot visit polling stations, including persons with disabilities and senior citizens aged 85 and above, will be able to cast their votes from home across six legislative assembly constituencies.
This facility will be available between March 30 and April 1, 2026, giving eligible voters the chance to participate in the elections without leaving their residences.
Election teams will visit each voter's home according to a published timetable. Citizens using this service are requested to be present at their registered addresses on the assigned dates and cooperate with the officials carrying out the voting.
