India, March 28 -- Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge will unveil the party's manifesto for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections on March 29 in Lakhimpur, party leaders said on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference, Congress general secretary Jitendra Singh said the manifesto has been prepared after months of consultations and outreach across the state.

"The document reflects extensive engagement with people from different sections of society. Our leaders and workers travelled across Assam to gather inputs," Singh said, adding that Kharge will also address a public rally during his visit to Lakhimpur.
