India, March 21 -- Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and his wife Riniki Bhuyan Sarma have reported a significant rise in their combined wealth, which has nearly doubled to Rs 35.16 crore in 2026 from Rs 17.27 crore in 2021, according to Sarma's election affidavit filed on March 20.

Sarma, running for the Jalukbari Assembly seat as a BJP candidate, reported movable assets of Rs 2.36 crore. According to him, he does not own any land or buildings.

Riniki Bhuyan Sarma, who leads Pride East Entertainment, declared total holdings of Rs 32.79 crore, including both movable and immovable assets, compared with Rs 16.19 crore in 2021.
