Guwahati, Aug. 27 -- Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) Deputy Speaker Bijit Gwra Narzary was found dead at his residence in Kumarikata in Assam's Tamulpur district on Wednesday evening, August 26.

Narzary, a BJP leader representing the Darrangajuli constituency in the BTC, was found at his residence, police said. The circumstances surrounding his death are being ascertained.

BTC chief and Bodoland People's Party president Hagrama Mohilary expressed grief over Narzary's sudden death.

In a condolence message, Mohilary described the BJP leader's death as an irreparable loss to the community and public life. He extended condolences to Narzary's family, friends, colleagues and supporters.
