Guwahati, Sept. 9 -- The first death anniversary of Assamese singer and musician Zubeen Garg will be observed on September 19 with a special Bhagawat Naam and Bhaona at Zubeen Kshetra, as part of a three-day commemorative programme beginning September 17.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Zubeen Garg's wife, Garima Saikia Garg, said the September 17 programme, observed as 'Zubeen Divas', will continue until around 5-5:30 pm. She said the organisers do not intend to hold events late into the evening and have invited people to visit the venue and pay tribute to the late singer in any manner they choose.
