Kokrajhar, Aug. 13 -- A 25-year-old youth was killed in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a motorcycle on the Narabari-Gendrabill PWD road under Kokrajhar Police Station in Assam's Kokrajhar district on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Shaktiman Sutradhar, son of Manik Sutradhar of Bagulamari village in Gendrabill.

According to reports, Shaktiman was travelling from Gendrabill towards Kokrajhar town on his motorcycle for business purposes.

His motorcycle collided head-on with a passenger bus bearing registration number AS 16 AC 4888 on a bridge along the Narabari-Gendrabill road.

He died on the spot.

Kokrajhar Police have detained the bus and are questioning the driver in connection with the accident.
