Guwahati, Sept. 2 -- Tension gripped No. 2 Nawaibil in Assam's West Karbi Anglong district after the body of a woman was recovered from the Doyang River, with locals alleging murder and demanding action against her husband and his family.

The deceased was identified as Mina Kumari Chauhan, who had reportedly been missing since Sunday. Her body was recovered from the Doyang River on Monday, sparking anger among residents and her family members.
