Guwahati, Aug. 13 -- Vantara has proposed assisting the Assam government in establishing three Wildlife Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centres in the state, including a dedicated facility for Asian elephants.

In a letter dated August 12, 2026, addressed to the Special Chief Secretary of Assam's Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Vantara CEO Vivaan Karani said the proposal was made on behalf of founder Anant Ambani to support the state's wildlife conservation efforts.

The proposal was submitted on the occasion of World Elephant Day, observed annually on August 12, with Vantara expressing its commitment to strengthening wildlife conservation in Assam.
