Dibrugarh, Sept. 22 -- Security forces have apprehended an alleged overground worker (OGW) of the outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) who was reportedly heading to Nagaland's Mon district with the intention of joining the outfit, officials said.

The individual, identified as Shyamal Danah, son of Prahlad Danah and a resident of Thulai Chuk, Mahmora, Alikiner in Assam's Charaideo district, was apprehended following a specific intelligence input.

According to officials, Danah was allegedly associated with ULFA-I as an OGW and had travelled towards Mon with the intention of joining the organisation.
