Dibrugarh: Security forces apprehended a ULFA-I cadre, 10 overground workers (OGWs) and four alleged drug dealers during a series of joint operations across upper Assam districts, officials said.
According to a press statement, the operations were carried out in April by the Indian Army's Red Shield Gunners under the Spear Corps, in coordination with Assam Police, in Tinsukia, Charaideo and Sivasagar districts.
"The operations, based on precise TECHINT and HUMINT inputs, led to the apprehension of one ULFA (I) cadre, ten overground workers and four drug dealers with established links to anti-national elements. Narcotics were also recovered during the operations," the statement said.
