Guwahati, Sept. 14 -- UK Deputy High Commissioner to East and Northeast India Dr Andrew Fleming has arrived in Assam for his 10th visit to the state, calling it an "anniversary visit" and highlighting the participation of British infrastructure companies during his stay.

Fleming said the visit was significant as several major UK infrastructure firms are currently in Assam as part of engagements in the state.

During his visit, Fleming also shared his impressions of the newly opened terminal at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati. Describing the terminal's architecture on X, he wrote, "Singapore vibes with an Assamese touch," while referring to its blend of modern design and Assamese elements.
